Drought Pricing
The Board of the Wheat Ridge Water District adopted a resolution approving the implementation of temporary drought pricing for water used above 6000 gallons consumed monthly for residential and duplex properties and a fixed charge to all Commercial, multi-family dwellings, parks and governments. This is in response to the Level One Drought declared by Denver Water. We are a Water Distributor for Denver Water, and also receive a surcharge on our monthly bill, dependant on water used in our Water District. The drought pricing will apply starting with May water use (reflected in June bills) and will be in effect through April 30, 2027, or until further action by the board.
Drought pricing will be as follows:
